Lubbock Emergency Communication District

District office hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Each year, the District airs commercials celebrating the men and women of the Lubbock area who help the public reach the help they need in times of emergency. The second full week of April is known as National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week and September 11th is also known as 9-1-1 Day. These commercials air locally on and around the time of these events. The Youtube clips can be viewed below.

50th Anniversary of 9-1-1

On February 16, 2018, 9-1-1 celebrated 50 years of service. The first 9-1-1 call was placed in Haleyville, Alabama in 1968. In honor of this anniversary, many videos were created to say thank to you the men and women who answer 9-1-1 calls each day.
